Salicylate Free Products

Salicylate 4Please note, that these are subject to deletion at any time, as the ingredients often change on any given product. These lists are meant as a GUIDE to point you in a direction! Please take the time to read each and every ingredient in every item you buy to ensure your product is in fact salicylate free!!

You DO need to check all your beauty products, dental products and everything that touches your skin for salicylates: These are the things to check: inactive and active ingredients in all meds, protein powders, eye drops, pain creams, flavors, Toothpaste, dental floss(mint), mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, perfume,ย  any sprays that touch your skin, hair gels, mousse, etc, body wash, hand soap, bubble bath, dish soap for washing by hands (unless you use gloves), DO, antiperspirant, lotion, sunscreen, face wash, face creams, makeup, makeup remover, Razors (aloe strip), shaving cream, nail polish remover, aloe in toilet paper and tissue and anything else you can think of that goes on your skin! You need all these products without Salicylates in them. They WILL block your Guaifenesin from working.

I am very salicylate sensitive and I personally use Solrx sunscreen and Squigle brand toothpastes.
Almay sensitive skin antiperspirant and I buy Free & Clear shampoo and conditioner from Walgreens. I use Kirks Castile soap to wash and only water on my face. The “free” detergents and softeners.
I am SO sensitive, I never eat out, even the cooking of spices at a restaurant make me so sick. I’ve been on pretty much an elimination diet for 5 years.
Just wanted to add what works for me.
    Thanks.

hi Pam! ๐Ÿ™‚ thank you, this is so great! I haven’t taken the time to update these sal-free products pages much, Kimberly Snider does such an amazing job on her Pinterest boards of sal-free products ๐Ÿ™‚ Have you checked them out?
I am so thankful that my diet dosn’t have to be sal-free! I do still watch my vitamins and meds, but other than that and mint and tea, I don’t worry about it! Have you found good support for that?

  2. Missy says:

Hi Christine. I wanted to check on a couple products before I start on the protocol. First, Dial Soothing Care hand soap. (blue front with white liquid), Jergens Ultra Healing extra dry skin moisturizer with vitamins C,E and B5 and Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing yogurt body wash (vanilla and oats). Thanks so much. I love your site!

    • Christine says:

Hi Missy! ๐Ÿ™‚ I sure can check those for you, but I need ingredient lists. To look them up online is not accurate since they can change the ingredients at any time. You can take a pic and post it of the ingredients or you can type it up, totally up to you, both works! But if you are going to go to the trouble of typing it all out, use this and get immediate answers! http://www.fibromyalgie-guaifenesin.info/en/salsearch/ All you have to do is type them in to the spot and the search engine gives you the answer! ๐Ÿ™‚ easy peasy!

Are there any perfumes that we can use? It is one of the very few things I like to feel a bit pampered. Thank you for any help. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    • Christine says:

Some of the more expensive perfumes have actual real plant ingredients, but most of them are just chemical. You would need to check the ingredients. Or, you can just spray it on your clothes ๐Ÿ™‚ Easy peasy! ๐Ÿ™‚
I made a Frequently Asked Questions post about this since I hear it so much! You can check the FAQ post, they are listed alphabetically, or use the Search tab at the top of my site, just type in ‘perfume’ or whatever the main word of your question is. There are many FAQ’s in there that will help you get answers much faster than waiting for me to get online ๐Ÿ™‚
