Calling all Low Dose, Fast Responders…

Hello there!!!

Being a low dose fast responder for the Guaifenesin Protocol means that my body needs very little of the Guaifenesin and I FEEL it, ALL THE TIME. I am only one of the 20%. The rest of people on the Protocol, use at least twice as much Guaifenesin and cycle more gently and slowly, and have better days long before I do. This can be a great discouragement to me.

BUT! On the other hand, when I am done cycling, I will be WELL. There is no gentle ebb and flow of cycling for me. It’s constant and it’s relentless. Until it’s over. Ahhh, for that day!!

Things are really improving, and it’s hard to see that when the fatigue is still strong enough to keep me from any exercise, lest I overdo it and end up in bed for a day or 2.(this happened when I tried walking for 5 mins straight on my treadmill.)

For instance, I had a friend over who is a really close friend, we’ve sat and talked for hours and hours at least weekly. Well, today she mentioned a trip she took for a year and I was SHOCKED that I hadn’t heard this story before. How embarrassing. Yes, she’s TOLD me the story before, but I was too tired and spaced out with fibrofog to take it in! I TOOK IT IN today! I even asked questions and had so much fun hearing her stories!

Are YOU a low dose, fast responder? I have made a Facebook Group for us. It’s real unique, check out the name (and link): Low Dose Fast Responders on the Guaifenesin Protocol 🙂  It’s SO helpful to have folks that get it, with fibro and also with the Guaifenesin Protocol. This group is for US! 😀

Come on over, say hello and tell me where your from and how long you’ve been on the protocol!

Check out my updates on how it’s going on the protocol: About me and the Guaifenesin Protocol

    Hello Christine,
I have to make this quick, it’s been another long day. I got your email for help starting the protocol. Great! I listened to the video and also read the step by step. Thank you so much. I used the link to order the book from book depository. I had wondered where I would get the newer version of it. I started the 300 mg 9 days ago. The symptoms did get worse, but to my surprise not too bad. I think I will do as suggested and stay on this dose for one month? During that time I will work on checking my products again. I did eliminate tea and all products I was using that contained mint or menthol. I did check on the flu shot and there are some available that are salfree. I will check out the fibrobuddies next. You have been on the protocol for 6 years, which of your symptoms have improved and how much? How long did it take? Thank you again.

Hi Anonymous! I am so glad you got a copy of the book! it will really help you understand this process. Have you checked all your soaps, lotions, makeup, etc for sals? I have a list of things to go through. If you have salicylates in any of those things, it will block your guaifenesin form working to reverse your symptoms. What kind of guaifenesin are you on? And if you are totally sal-free, then the recommended dose is 300mg twice a day. LA guai.

I have had some ups and downs with my health since I started the protocol. SO many other issues I needed to deal wtih. Thankfully I think we have it all sorted out so now it’s just fibro and I am feeling awesome! ALL of my symptoms are much better. Not totally gone, this isn’t a cure, but I have my life back and am busy and active again <3
