Cooked Kale (Hg strict, GF, SF, LC)

KaleI LOVE finding new recipes! Especially side dishes that are so darn easy! 😀 I have another post about steaming vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli and carrots too, so check that out for more options 🙂

OK, so this is super easy! The main thing is to find GOOD kale. Not wilty, yellowy Kale or tastes really bitter.

You want crisp, healthy dark green Kale.

I cut the thick ends off that have no leaves. I take the whole bunch in my hands and just cut down the middle and then cross ways. Takes only a few seconds. You don’t need to chop them small, they really wilt down to a small amount 🙂

Steam/boil about 10 mins.

Toss with butter and fresh cracked pepper. The pepper totally takes the bitterness out too. You don’t need it to be very pepper, just to taste.

Serve immediately! YUM!
