Encouragement for the Discouraged with the Guaifenesin Protocol

I am hearing so much discouragement today, and I just wish I could give you all a big HUG β™₯

It’s the little things you have to keep track of that will give you hope. After a year, The only things that were improved for me, is that I was sleeping better, no hot flashes (if i stick to the Hypoglycemia, Low Carb diet) less mood swings, and I could go on long drives without having to recuperate for a week πŸ˜› And my mom had to remind me of these things!

Check your symptom journal too!! Mine went from 120’s to 60’s in a year and half. πŸ™‚

A year really isn’t that long. You clear a year in two months on the protocol. So, after a year, you should be feeling almost like you did 6 years ago. Most of us have been REALLY sick for ALOT longer than 6 years. I know I have!

I KNOW the one year basket is where we put all our eggs, and it does help to have a goal. Just remember to make a NEW goal when that one dosn’t get reached. πŸ˜› Think back to when you actually felt GOOD. Now, THAT is when you want to aim for, with our little equation.

There are probably LOTS of little improvements you are making and just not noticing! Go visit a family member or friend who hasn’t seen you in a year. We all have those people. And ask them to be REALLY honest about if they see any improvement. Now, please DON’T go to the NASTY relative that likes to make everyone feel as miserable as they are m kay? πŸ˜€

Just repeat after me: PAIN WITH PURPOSE. PAIN WITH PURPOSE. PAIN WITH PURPOSE. You will always have pain with fibro (until you clear). The question is: will it be because your fibro deposits are growing and getting worse, or because you are CLEARING and getting BETTER?! πŸ˜€

Hi Christine I’m just 1/2 way thru the book but I have been mapped & been to one support group meeting. I know I need to do thie hg diet as the foods on the what to eat are foreign to me & I eat all the foods listed on the other side. I want to do this properly. There is a lady who sells sal free products at support group so that makes that part less overwhelming. Where can I find recipes for the hg diet so I’m off to a less overwhelming start there as well. Thanks in advance. Love your blog posts

Hi Bernadette! Good job getting through that book! There is alot of info hey?! SO exciting though, to see yourself in the symptoms and know that there is now HOPE for you! πŸ™‚

I have tons of HG websites right here, and Chantal Hoey Sanders has great info on her website with some tricks and ideas πŸ™‚
oh- and check out my Pinterest board, I have hundreds of recipes from all over the net that I modify to make them HG. https://www.pinterest.com/homecreations/

I live in Canada, near Toronto. My husband and I are reading Dr. Amand’s book and I am considering starting this process for my Fibro. Do you know of any Doctors in Canada who deal with mapping and follow up?

    • Christine says:

Hi Ella! Sorry I didn’t see your comment till now! It got sent to my Spam folder for some reason! πŸ˜›

I don’t know of any doctors on that side of Canada unfortunately! We have a registered nurse who is trained by Dr St Amand and has been doing this for many years now in Edmonton AB, I go to see her, she’s wonderful!

You might find one close-ish to you, take a look at this list of doctors we know of that are reliable for the protocol: https://www.facebook.com/notes/632074330141134/

Many, many people do the protocol without a doctor though, so don’t give up if you can’t find one. You will just need to really focus on doing your symptom journal really well and get involved in a support group. We have one on Facebook if you’d like to check it out, lots of great support for people all over the world πŸ™‚ Here’s the link if you haven’t found it yet: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Fibro.Buddies.Guaifenesin.Protocol/

I’m totally excited for you in starting this journey! It’s the best decision I ever made! πŸ™‚ Keep in touch, I will help however I can πŸ™‚
