HOW TO find your own Salicylate Free products

Are YOU On the Guafenesin Protocol and needing some help finding Salicylate free products?

Here is a link to a whole bunch that are sal-free right now. This list is only updated every couple months, so you STILL need to check your ingredient lists!

Here’s how I do it:

1. Look through this list to find a few of each category (half the time they won’t carry the ONE you want, so make sure to have a few options) http://www.fibrofreerecoverygroup.com/salicylate-free-product-list/

2. Copy and paste onto a Word doc the name and ingredients for each item you want. You can get ingredient lists from www.drugstore.com , Ulta.com or Sephora.com

3. Print off list and take to store with you.

4. Bring a basket and kindly ask the clerk if there is a chair where you can read through the ingredients of your products. If you explain to them that you have Fibromyalgia, they are usually very kind and even try to help with reading through the ingredients πŸ™‚

5. Put ALL your items you can find into your basket, sit down and read through each ingredient with your lists. IF there is an ingredient in one that is not in your printed out list, dig out your QUICK Check (Which I have written down in my daytimer and always have with me) Click this link for the Quick Check: http://christinescozycorner.ca/salicylate-free-check-list/

6. With your Quick Check in hand, quickly check your ingredient with the Quick Check. πŸ™‚ IfΒ  you can’t figure it out, put the item aside and move on to the next one.

7. OR, if you are feeling desperate because you have only found ONE of that product, Dig out your Salicylate Free Ingredient List and check to see if the ingredient is on there. If you are STILL determined to figure out that one ingredient, write it down and research it at home. http://christinescozycorner.ca/ingredients-that-are-salicylate-free-and-safe-to-use-in-the-guaifenesin-protocol/

8. OR, if they have a good return policy, just buy a bunch that look like they could be sal free and go through the above steps at home, and then return the ones you can’t have!

Thank you for posting this list. I spent about an hour at the store today trying to read labels, this will help so much!
I have been using the guaifenesin for about a month and am seeing some exciting results. Pam

    • Christine says:

glad to be of help Pam!! Reading those labels can be frustrating, they are so SMALL!!! Makes you feel quite blurry eyed after a while dosn’t it? Are you salicylate free yet or did you start the Guaifenesin before you had that all straightened out? I’m glad you are improving! In what ways?

      • Pam says:

I am learning as I go, reading Dr. Amand’s book now. Have made diet changes as well. I am so thankful that the Lord allowed me to come across your site!

        • Christine says:

wow Pam! I was just as excited to get going on the protocol as you are πŸ™‚
But for you to learn your clearing dose, you really need to wait to take the Guaifenesin until you are salicylate free. By starting before you are ready, might actually set you BACK.

If I may, I suggest stopping the Guaifenesin until you have all your stuff in order and you have finished the book so you are sure you know what you’re doing!! You are making it HARDER on yourself this way!

You can email me too, if you have questions and I can help christineshomemadecreations@ymail.com

          • christine, I read an old comment here about having your stuff in order bfore starting guai. I was told on another guai support groupl to start right away. I think your advice makes sense. I’m 65 and have had fibro for 20 yrs. I’m at a low point right now. I painted a deck (helped) and in a lot of pain. I’m havin trouble navigating this gui protocol, have read the book tho. Don’t know which guai to order or anything. its so confusing. thx for your help. Carolyn

  2. Pam says:

Would love to find some peptide cream for eyes and face minus the salicylates! Thank you!

  3. Christine says:

Hi Carolyn Turbett! πŸ™‚ thanks for your comment! I haven’t heard of a group that tells people to start the guaifenesin before they’re ready! That’s crazy! Basically it’s just a waste of money since the salicylates block your guai from working.

I’m so glad you’ve read the book! you are a giant step ahead! πŸ™‚ I have it in audio form if that will help you to understand it better, I can email it to you, I have permission to share it from the Publishers πŸ™‚

Let’s just take it one step at a time. First you gotta get all your products sal free. You CAN order your guaifenesin now and then when it comes in the mail, IF You have all your sal-free products you can start then. Here’s a post by me to walk you through the steps. Just take it a little at a time. I have links for everything you need to do. http://christinescozycorner.ca/help-getting-started-on-the-guaifenesin-protocol/

Skip the step about your doctor if it’s too overwhelming to think about πŸ™‚ most people don’t do that, it’s just for those few people who feel well enough.

    • I just stumbled upon your site while researching the sal free protocol. I tried this protocol several years ago for 6 months but am pretty sure I did not do it correctly. I have had fibromyalgia for 30+ years and it has gotten worse in that I have a difficult time reading with the fog in my brain and the pain is increasing. I saw that you have access to an audio version of the book–is that still available? Where can I access it? I did not read the book the first time around and just jumped into the protocol willynilly hoping for the best as that was all I could do at that time.

      • Christine says:

Oh gosh, yes! YOu totally need support and need to read/listen to the book to know how to do the protocol correctly! It can make you feel awful for no good if you don’t do all the steps! Sorry you went through that! DId you find my fibro buddies on guaifenesin facebook support group? It will be a big help to you.

If you are using the audio book from the first edition of the book by Dr St Amand, please note some changes- you can’t use Mucinex and NO tea and some other sals they have found since the first edition of the book. Those are the big ones. There has been more research and scientific stuff they have learned since that first book too, so please take the time to read through my Step by Step guide for doing the protocol correctly!

Hang in there, you can do it! <3

  4. Susan Hipp says:

Christine I would love to have a list of your products.

  5. Just found link on your site for audio. Thanks.

    • Christine says:

hey there! Where did you find it? I tried to take all the links down for the audio of the book ages ago! I am not allowed to share it anymore. I was given permission for a little while but there was such a huge number of people that wanted the audio that I got in trouble from the Publishing company! Hopefully they will see the need and make an audio copy themselves!!

Leave a lovely comment! I read and respond to all comments here and love to hear from you! <3
