Homemade Easy Ketchup (HG lib, SF, GF, Low Carb)

Homemade easy ketchupYAY! I was so excited when I found this recipe on the net! I have altered it considerably to work for my family. Best part is? you don’t have to cook it! YAY! EAsy peasy just stir together this stuff:

1 small can plain tomatoe paste (5.5 oz or 156 ml)

2 1/2  Tbsp apple cider vinegar

3 Tbsp sweetener. I used 2 Tbsp Splenda and 1 1/2 Tbsp Xylitol

1 1/2 tsp sea salt

1 1/2 tsp granulated garlic

1 1/2 tsp granulated onion

1/4 tsp cinnamon (or try allspice)

2 tsp Kikkoman soy sauce

2 packages Splenda

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (or to taste)

2/3 cup water

Stir all together. Use immediately and/or store in fridge or freezer for later. I personally froze most of mine in an ice cube tray for easy defrosting and store in ziploc in freezer.

It dosn’t taste exactly like ketchup, but when you haven’t had ketchup in a long time, this is AWESOME!! 🙂 It’s sweet and a little zippy.

thanks to Whole New Mom for the inspiration!!
