Homemade Stuffing from Scratch

Make your stuffing HG by using HG sugar free bread according to the diet list, and watch your amounts when you eat it!! 🙂

I like my stuffing with really strong flavors (meant to be a garnish) so adjust seasoning accordingly 🙂

in HUGE frying pan:
melt 1/2 block butter, fry in:
2 onions, chopped
one whole bunch celery, chopped
some mushrooms, to taste

1 cup chicken stock (homemade preferred, if using store bought, you wont need as much salt because that stuff is already really salty)

Water- use according to how moist/dry you like your stuffing. I dont use water in mine because I put my stuffing in my turkey, which is usually about 20 lbs LOL 😀

1/2 Tbsp salt
1 Tbsp poultry seasoning
1-2 tsp sage
1-2 tsp Thyme

once all stirred together, pour in bag of pre-cut and dried bread chunks, (approx 2 loaves of bread) and gently fold into wet mixture. Would probably be easier and less messy to use a huge bowl for this part! LOL I do it all in the pan and have a HUGE mess all over the stove and floor by the time I’m done!! HAHA!!
