Intimate items and Salicylates

Condoms are not a problem, unless there is flavor or smell added to them, then you need to check the ingredients for sals.

Lubrications need to be checked for sals too. I have found several that are sal free.

We have a Fibro Buddies Vulvodynia group for those of you affected by this. Send me your email and I can add you. It’s a Secret group, so nobody can even see the name of the group or who’s in it. It’s why you have to be added my email <3 https://www.facebook.com/groups/fibrobuddiesvv/

I’ve heard some people can use just pure emu oil as a lubricant but that dosn’t really work for us. I did try it for a year!

The one I am currently using that works AWESOME and better than premarin even, is Replens, water based, and really helps with pain.

H2O Water based Silky Smooth JO
Ingredients: purified water, glycerin, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, methyl paraben, propyl paraben

Astroglide
Ingredients: purified water, glycerin, propylene glycol, polyquaternium 15, methylparaben, propylparaben

I have a question about condoms with lubricant. Most have some kind of lubricant, even if it’s not flavored or designed to have a specific smell. I have not been able to find the list of ingredients for the lubricants on the condoms, so is this something I need to be concerned about with Guaifenesin? Or are they usually ok as long as it doesn’t say a certain smell or flavor? Thanks!

Hi Stephanie! Don’t worry about the lubricant with condoms. I’ve never heard of anybody blocking on them 🙂 Of course, don’t use ones that say mint lol!

Folks, for lubricant it is so simple. Mineral oil! Sal-free, cheap, abundant, effective. Conversation over.
