This pic is from a few years ago, one of the most beautiful Christmases in our home. THIS year however, is one of the most special Christmases for me. Did you know that we are Fostering twin 6yr old boys? They moved into our home in August, and I am LOOOOOVING being a mom! I would totally share a zillion pics with you, but we aren’t allowed.
Suffice it to say they are so darn cute and we are a happy little family 🙂
What a tremendous blessing children are! God knew what He was doing when He made us the way He did, with the purposes He has. Being a mom ROCKS!!!
I can only imagine what Mary went through when she bore Jesus Christ, Savior of the world. A baby is so completely dependent on his mom. What a marvel it is that Jesus decided to come to earth as a BABY! The Creator of the Universe, having His diaper changed, His bum wiped! AMAZING!
We truly do serve an amazing, wonderful God! Jesus birthday is a fabulous day to remember what He did. We celebrate Jesus birthday December 25, Christmas. And yep, I hear so many people that say it’s not actually this day, etc etc. That is not what’s important! What IS important? That we REMEMBER!!
Jesus told us to have communion because we forget. We forget what He did on the cross to save us from our sins so we can go to heaven to be with Him forever. We forget the sacrifice He made in suffering and dying on a cross.
And we forget that Christmas is about JESUS CHRIST’s birthday. It’s the day we choose to remember. To celebrate the greatest gift ever given in all of history. Jesus Christ. Our Gift. Our Savior!
So, this year, amidst all the crazy last minute shopping, the parties, the family, the food, the presents, the decorations, the business, may we all take a moment to remember! The most important gift ever given was born in a stable, to people who weren’t wealthy. Just an ordinary couple. There is just joy and peace in that moment of remembering. I promise, it’s worth taking that moment! Bless you all! <3
and Merry Christmas everyone!
