Ok, so I’ve been doing this for a while in my recipes, but figured it was about time I shared this awesome HG Diet tip!
I’m putting my cauliflower soup recipe in this post because it’s where I learned to do this! 🙂
I have tried all the HG diet safe flours like soy and gluten (YUCK!) Then I tried the other safe things that turns sauces slimy like Arrowroot powder, guar gum and xanthan gum EWWWW!
You won’t believe how well this little tip works and how easy it is too! 🙂
chop up a head of cauliflower.
Put into a steamer pot.
Steam for 22 mins (ish)
Blend with 1-2 cups water.
It should be really thick. And pretty yummy! It is NOT like flour, it has a little different flavor, you will need more seasalt in your recipes. But I LOVE it! Here’s a few more recipes that I use it in:
