Oopsie bread (HG Strict, GF, SF, LOW Carb)

oopsie breadThis is the BOMB! (is that word still used and recognized?) I mean, it’s AWESOMMMMME!

It totally works like bread and even tastes awesome! Don’t wait as long as I did to try this!! 😀

Here’s how I do it:

6 eggs

1 block cream cheese

a pinch of salt

1 tablespoon Ground flaxseed

1 teaspoon baking powder

• Separate the eggs, with the egg whites in one bowl and the egg yolks in another.

• Whip the egg whites together with the salt until very stiff. You should be able to turn the bowl over without the egg whites moving.

• Mix the egg yolks, baking, powder, flax and the cream cheese well. (I soften the cream cheese first in the microwave, for 40 seconds)

• Gently fold the egg whites into the egg yolk mix – try to keep the air in the egg whites.

• Pour all on a Parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Smooth out with spatula.

• Bake in the middle of the oven at 150° C (300° F) for about 40 minutes – until they turn golden.

Pop out immediately and cool on cooling rack with lots of air flow. Serve with soup or in sandwiches, sop up your gravy or use for dessert with strawberries and whip cream, check out my other HG recipes! 🙂

Thanks to The Diet Doctor for this great recipe that I adapted for us! 🙂

Hey Christine, any idea if this could this be made with non dairy cream cheese?( I can’t do dairy) and also can you tell me how much a “block” is in ounces? Thanks sooo much!!!!

    • Christine says:

Hey Teresa! 🙂 A block of cream cheese is 8oz, I should put that in there hey?! lol 🙂
Totally try it non-dairy and then please let me know so we can share your success with others who can’t have dairy!! 🙂 Thank YOU!! 🙂

Im just curious I thought on sal free you can’t have flaxseed because it is from a plant? I’m very new trying to be sam free- thank you

    • Christine says:

Hey Gina! My site is for TOPICAL sal-free info, necessary for the guaifenesin protocol to reverse the symptoms of Fibromyalgia. The dietary info you see here will not reflect sal-free foods other than tea and mint. Are you allergic to salicylates?

    Hello Christine!!
Thanks so much for your quick response. Yes I am finding that my daughter who is 11 and myself are quite sensitive to sals – since getting it off of us topically, we have both felt alot better also. So on your recipes what does sf mean. I’m just trying to figure this all out. My daughter has some sensory issues that seem to be much easier to deal with removing alot of offending foods and off of our skin. foods definitely affect both of us.i also find it interesting my sister who has pass ed was diagnosed with Lupus which I feel like is in the same family as fibromialga. Just all very interesting –
    thanks, Gina

oh right! lol! sf stands for sugar free 🙂 My recipes are all sugar free and low carb.
It’s a big change to go through all your topical and foods for salicylates! Have you found other sites to help with this too? Mine isn’t going to provide you with all the info you need for your allergies. I’m glad you’re feeling better on this! 🙂
Oh, yes I know of several people with fibro who also have lupus. They are totally different diseases, but it seems like when you have one of them, you often have the other unfortunately! Let me know if there’s anything I can help with.
