PEG 40 and plant oils, are they salicylate safe?

Salicylate 4This is a Questionable Ingredient!

We have heard conflicting reports of what Dr St Amand himself says on this ingredient. And we believe it’s not worth the risk.

Example: PEG 40 Hydrogenated Castor oil.

If it’s PEG + a number and a NON-PLANT oil, that ingredient is sal-safe.

For Example: Peg-150 Distearate. This ingredient is safe because there is no plant oil, gel or extract in the name

As we all know, any oil, gel or extract with a plant name like almond oil, will block Guaifenesin from working to eliminate phosphate and reverse our fibromyalgia symptoms. But we had thought that the PEG 40 was something that would change the oil into a chemical, which is mostly true, except sometimes s0me of the original oil is left in there and can block you!

As always, “when in doubt, do without!”

SO, I am going through all my products to be sure this ingredient is not in there… just in case!

And check out the other questionable ingredients we have found to block enough people to warrant caution:

This post has been haunting me in my sleep. I have been really struggling for several months, feeling worse like my fibro is in full flare. Arms too tired to brush my hair kind of worse. Initially I eliminated all plant products and started to get better right away. Several months ago I started gradually using products with Peg-40 castor oil and Jojoba esters. I have been questioning if I am blocking. Today I am tossing everything questionable and with any luck I will start improving again. Thanks for looking out for me when I am too fibro fogged to look out for myself.

aww Dara i know too well what you’re talking about there! I blocked for a whole year and worried that whole year what I could be doing wrong. I am SO thankful for the many ladies I have been in touch with who have shared their experience so that we can share these cautions with everyone else too!!! I hope this works for you too, it is SO nice to actually feel like we’re clearing hey?!

Everyone has a different sal sensitivity! I am SUPER sal sensitive, so I have to stay far away from all questionable items, but I have a friend who is clearing away and being mapped to prove it, meanwhile she uses mint toothpaste everyday πŸ˜› I think there are VERY few people who have that high a tolerance to the sals, so I always tell people not to risk it!! It’s certainly not worth it!

Keep in touch about this, i’d love to hear that you suddenly were feeling some cycles again πŸ™‚

Jeanne, thank you for your comment πŸ™‚ I need to re-word my post because i get ALOT of these same questions! LOL πŸ˜€

So, the trouble is STILL with a plant name with oil gel or extract, and PEG with a number in front of it does not make it a safe ingredient. They used to say that PEG makes any plant into a chemical, but they are now finding that there is natural oils left that will block.

PEG 150 Distearate is not a plant oil gel or extract so you’re fine πŸ™‚ Does that clear it up?

Biotin is an enzyme and enzymes and vitamins are safe πŸ™‚

        Thanks Christine!
        1. so PEG # + oil, gel or extract as part of its name= BAD
But PEG # with NO oil, gel extract as part of its name= OK
Is that a correct and good way to state it?
        2. Ok Christine, so what about the Polysorbate #, and the PPG (PPG9)?

Leave a lovely comment! I read and respond to all comments here and love to hear from you! <3
