Tim and I have been using this seasoning for a couple years now and still LOVE it! The super nice thing about making your own, is that you KNOW what is in it! Did you know that the spices from taco seasoning do not NATURALLY make your meat red?? haha! Hello added colors!!
Prep Time: 3 minutes
1 Cup Chilli Powder
1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp Cumin
1/4 cup sea salt (a little less is better)
8 tsp paprika
4 tsp garlic powder
4 tsp onion powder
4 tsp cayenne (add more to taste)
4 tsp oregano
Directions: Stir in bowl, and store in air-tight container. I use an old (clean!) sour cream container with a label =)
Use 2 Tbsp Taco Seasoning per pound of ground beef to make taco meat! 🙂
Tip: the thing I always run out of for this recipe is the Cumin, so make sure you have LOTS!! =)
Tip: natural herbs and spices are full of anti-oxidants and health benefits that we miss out on with all the pre-packaged, un-natural FLAVORS we use instead of spices and herbs!
