Progress Report 6 years on the Guaifenesin Protocol!!!

Too sick to wash and dry my long hair, I chopped it off myself lol! Pretty uneven job hey?! 😀

WHAT?! 6 YEARS?! I know, it’s crazy hey?!

Have you been following my fibromyalgia story? Have you been wondering why you should try the Guaifenesin Protocol if MY story is how it ends up? 7 years on the protocol and still not better?

Unfortunately, not everything is fibromyalgia! I say unfortunately, because now that I know fibro symptoms are totally reversible on the protocol, it changed my perspective entirely!

(BTW, I was too sick to get on my computer this past year and have alot of catching up to do, please be patient with me as I try to get back to everyone! <3)

So, what new things have happened? Well, still working everything out, but I had a huge infection from a tooth abscess that ate through the bone and into my sinuses. Been fighting a ‘sinus infection’ for over a year! 2 weeks ago, I saw a biological dentist in Edmonton, who extracted the rotten tooth with the root canal and cut out some infected bone and tissue, put in a bone graft and this new thing in dentistry where they take white blood cells (and something else I can’t remember- plasma?) from your own blood and coat the bone graft in it before sewing it in. It’s supposed to speed along the healing process and fight any infection left in there. I got 8 stitches in my mouth!

Since 2 weeks ago, I continue to notice remarkable improvement. I am doing a cleanse to detox all the horrible pain meds and antibiotics I have been on for over a year.

I go back to see them to check on the bone graft and put a tooth in the hole. Also, doing some crowns since I have so many cracked teeth- deep cracks, which explains why I can only eat and drink everything luke-warm.

The crazy thing, that’s not all! So, I get some routine blood work and decided to ask for a Vit B12 test since a friend said she’s noticed a huge difference with her Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Yesterday I got the test results back and I am 200points BELOW the ‘rare’ line. Good grief! No wonder I struggle so much! I see the dr tomorrow and will likely be on B12 injections for some time.

All that said, not everything is fibromyalgia!!! Please get stuff checked out. Don’t wait a YEAR before you go and get things looked at, tests done, infection taken out, etc.

Even with all this going on, I had started to notice some fibro changes on the Guaifenesin Protocol. I can only imagine how horribly sick I would have been if my fibro hadn’t been getting better on the protocol!

I am excited to see how awesome I feel now that all I am dealing with is the clearing on the Guaifenesin Protocol! 😀

Thanks for the update, Christine!! I’m sorry that you were dealing with a rotten tooth– that must have been miserable! I hope that your mouth is feeling better, I can’t believe it initially resulted from a sinus infection. You are a fighter, you will be just fine. 🙂

I can sympathize with you in regards to low B12. Inhave lower B12 and actually gets shots once a week. I started getting them three times a week but now I’m up to once a week.

I think you will feel better once you start the B 12. Are you just going to take the sub lingual or shots ? I do know that low B 12 can cause fatigue and for me, it was causing shortness of breath. I am feeling better, but fatigue is my number one Fibro symptom, so it’s just gonna take a while. I have been on Guai for about 6 1/2 years, but it’s been more like a 5 1/2 because I blocked intermittently by accident.

The last time I saw Dr. St. Amand, I was stagnant. So he told me that I needed to increase the fast acting. So that was what I did, and I plan to see him in another six months and I’m hopeful that I will be back to clearing.

What I have left of fibromyalgia pain, is neck, shoulder and trap pain. I’m also cycling my hips, in my legs get tight, but I feel them breaking up. Basically, I am at the tendons in Leggins stage of clearing. But I don’t really get that much pain other than neck and shoulders and stiffness. I still have the brain symptoms from time to time and I get tired. I am light-years away from where I was seven years ago. And I thank my lucky stars every single day.

    Love,
    Pam

Oh, I was totally mis-reading the bB12 results! I am in the low-normal range so will just start on some B12 vitamins and hope for the best! 🙂 I am so glad it is a help, I have alot of hope that it will help me too!
So glad you are seeing some results from the protocol. It takes time, but is SO worth it! thanks for your comment, good to hear from you! 🙂

Sorry for typos. I meant *tendons and LIGAMENTS” stage of clearing. Not “Leggins”. LOL

  3. Richard Parrish says:

Glad you finally found your problem Christine! In spite of your impacted tooth I’m surprised after 7 years you’re still fighting fibro. I’ve been on guai for over 3 years and haven’t improved one bit! All that’s happened is some of (most) of my lumps have receeded, but that’s all! No improvement in ANY other areas (pain, sleep, appetite, and over a dozen other fibro symptoms. Very depressing indeed! Anyway glad you found one of your “additional” problems. I’m about ready to try something else. I feel like I’ve wasted the last 3 years fooling with this guai! It’s just not cutting it for me. Time to try another protocol. Take care now!

    • Christine says:

Richard, if I remember correctly, you were seeing Dr St Amand but not doing everything he asked you to do. Don’t you have other illnesses as well as fibro? plus, with all the pain meds you’ve been on for such a long time, you could totally be getting better but not noticing because of the damage those pain meds have done to you. It’s up to you if you want to continue on the protocol that reverses fibro symptoms, but it is NOT a waste to do the protocol!! 🙂 Hang in there!

  4. Angela Miller says:

Christine–Has anyone ever pointed you to Ritchie Shoemaker’s protocol for dealing with infections that are “biofilmed” away from the reach of antibiotics, that hide in your sinuses and, yes, your teeth and gums? Many of us have this problem and our fibromyalgia journey started with a simple-seeming upper respiratory infection

    • Christine says:

Hi Angela! Yes I have looked into mold too! I don’t think it is my only issue however. It seems like just part of the picture for me. Thank you for your concern! <3

  5. Michael von Biela (I am a girl) says:

Omg Christine, I have an infection in my back tooth and have been trying to save the tooth because I had 4 teeth involved and had to have a tooth on each side of my mouth pulled 1 implant that took more than a year and a 3 tooth bridge on the other side. I’ve been putting off the last tooth because I am tired of the dentist. Your story is obviously meant for me. Thank you so much. XOXO
