Poor guy, you’d think he has it so bad sometimes! LOL 😀
SO, This recipe takes TIME so plan ahead but not alot of work!
Into a large casserole dish:
2 packages ribs
1-2 cups Homemade Soup Stock (click for recipe)
1 tsp salt and pepper (to taste)
1 tsp rosemary
Cover with water and lid/tinfoil
Into 185 degree oven for 3-4 hours. I boiled the water and stock in pot first, as I keep my stock in little containers in freezer 🙂
During this time, in separate pot, on low to simmer, without lid, stirred every half hour or so:
1 can tomato paste 6 oz (plain)
1 Tbsp Xylitol
4 packages Splenda
1 cup Soup Stock (homemade preferable) (optional, can use water with more salt in place of)
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp Sea Salt
1/2 tsp onion powder (optional)
1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
Sprinkle of Cayenne pepper (to taste- remember that the longer it cooks the hotter it gets)
30mins before serving ribs, turn up oven to 400 degrees. strain broth from ribs into jar for use in homemade soup later. (click for Soup recipes)
Pour BBQ sauce over ribs, put back in oven without lid for 30 mins.
Serve! YUMMM! I fried carrots and steamed cauliflower to serve with this dish, was so fabulous!
Please note, this has a lot of sweetener in it. It is not a main staple and obviously a treat 🙂 Enjoy!
