Salicylate safe Mosquito Repellant

A friend shared the following recipe with me for mosquito repellant, I haven’t tried it yet, but will soon as it’s warm enough for mosquitos! :D Let me know what you think if you try it!

Mosquito Repellent

Palmolive Original

Palmolive Original

One tsp. soybean oil
ΒΌ tsp. Palmolive Original liquid soap (Original one is sal-free)
1 cup water
Mix, pour into a spray bottle and spray on.

**June 2 2014 update: a friend tried just a little water with Palmolive original and rubbed it all over and she said it kept the mosquitoes away that were previously feasting on her! Totally going to try this! Definitely easier than the soybean oil mixed in there! lol :)

I’ve also heard of putting a Bounce sheet in your pocket, supposed to keep mosquitos away, and the upside? Makes you smell like fresh laundry! YEAH! :D

There are these bug-repellant clip ons that you just clip to your clothes that are supposed to work as well. It’s not touching your skin, so should also be sal-safe :)

And OFF! Deep Woods in the spray can and This Pump (Click links for pictures and ingredient lists) are currently sal-free as well, as always, check ingredients on the can before buying, make sure there’s no aloe or anything in there :)
