Sleepiness and Fibromyalgia

Sleepiness is a symptom of fibromyalgia! Some people go from sleeping 12 hours a night to 20 when they start the Guaifenesin Protocol as it cycles and clears.

When this happens, your body is likely needing the extra rest and recoup time. Your body is going through alot, working on getting you better, so help your body out. Take those naps when you need them and please be careful with driving during these times! Take the pressure off yourself and think about that Mr Bean show when he has narcolepsy! Having a sense of humor about it will help! πŸ™‚

If you never struggled with this symptom before you started on the protocol, maybe see your doctor to be sure something else isn’t going on here. Not EVERYTHING is fibro after all and I sure wouldn’t want you to be having something else more dangerous going on in your body!

Apparently this is also a Symptom of NMH, (neurally mediated hypotension aka non-cardiogenic syncope) and the Guaifenesin Protocol will not reverse it if that is the cause!

When I increased my dose, I found myself totally dozing off all the time, so switched my higher dose to the night time and it makes me sleep SO much better- at night!! πŸ™‚

        there is a problem I am having with. and that is finding out what I could do or what I could take for those awful flu-symptoms. any research you can come up with would be so helpful. thank you so much for all you do to help with fibromyalgia.

    Christine, thank you for your blog. I’m just trying to get started with guai. havent figured out what or where to get it. I’ve had fibro for about 20 yrs following a car accident and whiplash. I feel so overwhelmed with all of this stuf and blocking, etc. I don’t know which end’s up. I am afraid to start since I have a busy life and it will be hard for a while, some say even three months. but, I do want to get better. oh btw, I’m 65 and have four kids and 14 grandkids. limited income and couldn’t believe guai is like $60 something for 100 caps. used to be so cheap! thx again!       You are not alone in feeling this way, and it WILL get better. Lets just take it one step at a time ok? Have you read the book by Dr St Amand yet? It will sure help you in beginning to understand the process. I made an audio copy of it that I have permission to give to people I am helping, let me know if that would help you.
