Sugar Free Beef Jerky and Worcestershire Sauce (both HG strict, GF, SF, LC)

Sugar Free Beef JerkySugar Free Beef Jerky is one of the BEST snacks for someone on a low carb diet!! and it is SOOO yummy! 🙂 And it’s why I am sharing my recipe with you!

This recipe is for 4 lbs of beef steak, it fits into all of my trays. I used the old steak from the last cow we bought, it starts to get tough from sitting in the freezer for so many months 😀 You can use roast or whatever you have on hand.

The easiest way to cut this is when it’s still partially frozen, so take it out frozen and partially thaw in microwave. It should still be a little hard so you can easily slice through.

Into a large bowl:

¼ cup water
½ cup apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp lime juice concentrate
¼ cup soy sauce
1-2 Tbsp xylitol (or other sweetener)
1 Tbsp fresh cracked pepper
1 Tbsp garlic pwdr
1 tsp onion pwdr
1 Tbsp and 1 tsp chili pwdr
¼ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ginger (optional, I didn’t have this on hand, but it was still delicious :))
¼ tsp cayenne (or to taste, this recipe has a mild heat to it with all the pepper, so adjust accordingly)
1 tsp seasalt

half- done Beef Jerky (HG, SF, GF, LC)Stir above well, place your sliced meat into the big bowl, stir very well. Cover and refrigerate for at least over night, I usually do 24 hours.

I don’t bother draining or patting dry or anything, I just scoop them out of the bowl dripping and place on my dehydrator racks. Make sure to place a fruit leather (or something similar) tray on the bottom for easier cleaning 🙂

I dehydrate mine for about 6-7 hours. Depending on your dehydrator and the temp setting you have will determine how long to leave in there. See your instruction manual for times. The thicker your slices, the longer it will take.

It keeps in the freezer for a few months, in the fridge for about a month and on the counter for about a week.

This is excellent for traveling and when you get the munchies for something salty or sweet 🙂 We love it!

My favorite is when it’s still a little warm 😀

½ cup apple cider vinegar
¼ cup soy sauce
1-2 Tbsp xylitol
